Nursery

Do you offer nursery care?
Yes, we offer nursery care for newborn through age 1. Our nursery is located right behind the sanctuary, and is staffed with trusted and trained adults from our church. The room provides soundproof windows and a speaker, so people can still follow what is happening in the sanctuary.

Kid's Ministry

If I have kids, what do I need to do first?
Parents are asked to check-in their kids at the welcome station in the foyer. When you check-in, a Kid's Ministry team member will give you a basic form to fill out, and then give you two tags - one for you and one for your child. The tag will have your child's name and allergy info so that teachers in the classroom are aware. These tags must be worn by you and your child, and you'll need the tag to pick-up your child after the service.

Where does my child go during the service?
All children may stay with their parents during the worship service, and activity boxes are available in the foyer for them. Though if your child wants to join our Kid's Ministry, those ages 2 - 4th grade will be dismissed and go downstairs to their classes: a Toddler Class is for ages 2 - 4, and Kid's Church is for grades K4. Those in grade 5 & above are encouraged to stay with their parents. A teacher will walk with your child downstairs, and we ask parents to pick up their children once the worship service is done.

Can I trust the teachers and volunteers?
Adults who serve in our Kids Ministry as teachers are trusted and trained members of our church. Volunteer helpers in the classrooms are trusted and trained high schoolers and adults. Every teacher and helper goes through our Safe Place training provided by our denomination, and everyone has a background check on file in the church office.

What will my child learn in class?
We use The Gospel Project, a three-year study following a chronological timeline through the Bible. Kids will learn through stories, discussions, and crafts the overall message of the Bible and how Jesus can be seen in every book from Genesis to Revelation.

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

We will be teaching the Youth how to Study God's word and be able to apply it to everyday life. We want Youth to come know Christ and be able to defend their faith and, "seeking first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33) Youth 6-12th grade are welcome to come and participate in the program.

Worship Gathering

What time is the service?
We gather on Sunday mornings at 10am to celebrate who Jesus is and what He's doing in our lives. Our physical address is CMA Church 306 Devor St, Greenville, Ohio 45331.

How do I dress?
Our church is truly an informal, come-as-you-are church. People wear anything from jeans and t-shirts to a suit and tie. Our pastor typical wears dark jeans and a dress shirt or polo. We want you to connect with Jesus through the worship and message, and not be worried about what you're wearing. No one will judge you, so come as you are.

What happens during the service?
For the most part our service begins with singing contemporary worship songs, then a brief time of welcome and announcements, followed by a time of praying for one another. Then we'll open God's word together and seek to understand what the passage is saying and how it applies to our lives today. Our gathering time finishes with a reflective song, or with Communion and singing if it's the first Sunday of the month.

Am I expected to give an offering (money)?
Whether you are a visitor or a regular attender, we expect you to follow what God wants you to do. Our church does not tell people what to give or how much to give; however, God does tell us, so we want people to respond in how He leads them. When you enter the sanctuary, there is an offering box by the sound booth that people are able to place an offering into (envelopes are also provided). All giving goes towards the local and global mission of God.

What are the messages like?
Typically, our pastor teaches through a book of the Bible, seeking to learn God's message and application for us today. Other times we teach on Biblical themes or doctrines of the faith. The point of every message is always to "equip the church to do the work of the ministry," and we strive to do this intentionally and practically.

What bible translation do you use?
As a church, we use the ESV Bible, but people are free to use whichever translation is easier for them. Within each pew are ESV Bibles for those that do not have a bible with them.

Where do I park? Is there handicap access?
There is reserved parking for those who are in need of assistance available behind the church. From there, a ramp provides access into the Fellowship Hall, where you can access restrooms and entrance into the sanctuary. Regular parking is available along Devor Street and in the open parking lot across the street from the church.
